Terms of Service — The United Kingdom
These terms are an agreement between The Remote Support Program (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/737434/07, "we", "us") and the company signing up ("you"). The person who ticks the box at signup confirms that they may bind that company to these terms.
1. What the service is
The Remote Support Program is software you use to support your own customers: remote control of their computers, file transfer, scripts, a monthly health check, tickets, chat and the other features described on our website. It is provided as a hosted service under your own company's name and branding.
You decide which of your customers' computers it is installed on, who in your company may use it, and what is done with it. We provide the tool; you provide the support.
2. Your trial, the price and paying
- A new company gets a free trial of 14 days. Nothing is charged during the trial, and no card is needed to start it.
- If you pay by card, add it on the Billing page before the trial ends; nothing is charged until the day after it ends. If no card has been added by then, the service is suspended that day, after reminders by email, until a card is added. An account still without a card 30 days after it was suspended is closed. Nothing is deleted when the service is suspended.
- After the trial the price is £49 a month for five seats, any mix of roles. One person holding only the owner role is free; everybody else who can sign in takes a seat, and one person takes one seat however many roles they hold. That free owner login sets the company up and oversees it: it sees every ticket, client and computer and may comment on tickets, but it does not work tickets or connect to computers.
- A company has five seats; more are on request. We built the service to make proper IT support software affordable for small IT companies, so every company starts with five. If you need more, an owner may ask us on the Billing page. Whether we agree, and how many seats we allow, is our decision. If we agree, each seat past five is £20 a month. It is added only when an owner adds somebody and accepts the new monthly price shown first, and it is charged from your next payment, with no part-month charges. Removing somebody brings the price down again from the payment after. Otherwise, to add somebody when your seats are all in use, remove a person or a role first.
- Prices are in pounds sterling. VAT is [to be confirmed before we open in the United Kingdom].
- You pay monthly in advance. If a payment is more than 14 days late we may suspend the service until it is paid, after telling you by email.
- We may change our prices by telling you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. You may end the agreement before then if you do not accept the new price.
3. What you must do
- Have permission. You must have the permission of the owner and the user of every computer you install the software on or connect to, as the law where that computer is requires. The customer's own app asks them before each attended session; unattended access is something they switch on themselves. You are responsible for using these as your customers have agreed.
- Keep your logins safe. Every person must use their own login and the two-factor code. You are responsible for anything done with your company's logins, and you must tell us at once if you think one has been misused.
- Use it lawfully. You must not use the service to access a computer without authority, to spy on anyone, to spread malicious software, to break any law, or to harm our systems or anyone else's.
- Your customers' data is yours to look after. You decide what of your customers' information passes through the service, and you are responsible for having a lawful reason to process it.
4. Your data and backups — we are not responsible for loss of data
Remote support changes computers. Scripts, file transfers, installations, restarts and the work your technicians do can change, damage or delete data on your customers' machines. You and your customers are responsible for keeping backups of everything that matters before work is done.
We are not responsible for any loss of, damage to, or corruption of data on any computer, whether caused by the use of the service, by a technician's action, by a script, by a fault in the software, by a failure of a computer or network, or by anything else, except where the law does not allow this to be excluded.
We back up our own servers every night and take reasonable care of the information stored on them (your tickets, clients, settings and records). We do not promise that it can never be lost, and you should keep your own copies of anything you cannot do without — for example by exporting your client list.
5. Privacy and where your data is kept
This agreement follows the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Your customers' information. For the personal data of your customers and their staff that passes through the service, you are the controller and we are your processor. As Article 28 of the UK GDPR requires, we: process it only on your documented instructions (these terms and your use of the service); make sure everyone who handles it is bound to confidentiality; protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures (Article 32); use other processors (such as our hosting provider) only under the same obligations, and tell you before we add or replace one so that you can object; help you answer people who exercise their rights; tell you without undue delay about a personal data breach; delete or return it when the agreement ends; and give you the information you need to show that these obligations are met.
- Your own information. For the information about your company and your staff that we need to run your account and bill you, we are the controller. We use it only for that, and we never sell it.
- Where it is kept. Your data is kept on servers in the United Kingdom. If it is ever transferred outside the UK, it will be only with the safeguards the UK GDPR requires.
- Complaints. You and the people whose data is processed may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Our ICO registration number is [number].
6. Security
We protect the service with encryption on every connection, two-factor sign-in for every login, and the other measures described in our security documentation. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your data we will tell you without undue delay, and do what the law requires of us.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running at all times but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of faults. We may carry out maintenance, and will try to do it outside working hours. We may improve and change the service; if a change takes away something important you rely on, we will tell you in advance.
8. The service is provided as it is
Except where the law says otherwise, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose, will meet your needs, or will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limits on our liability
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, however it arises.
- Our total liability to you for everything arising from this agreement in any twelve months is limited to the fees you paid us in those twelve months.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Your responsibility to us
You will compensate us for claims made against us by your customers or anyone else that arise from how you used the service, from a breach of these terms, or from using it without the permission described in section 3.
11. Cancelling, refunds and ending the agreement
- You may cancel at any time, by email to queries@theremotesupportprogram.com or by phone on 078 131 5618. Nothing more is charged after you cancel; the service carries on until the end of the month you have already paid for, and then stops.
- The free trial costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund if you cancel during it.
- We do not refund part of a month you have paid for, because you pay monthly in advance and may cancel before the next month starts.
- A payment taken in error — charged twice, charged after you cancelled, or the wrong amount — is refunded in full, to the card or account it came from, within 30 days of you telling us.
- We may end the agreement by giving you 30 days' notice, or at once if you seriously break these terms or do not pay.
- When it ends, you can no longer sign in, and the software on your customers' machines stops connecting. We delete your company's data 60 days after the agreement ends, except what the law requires us to keep. Ask us before then for an export of your data.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change that matters takes effect, and you may end the agreement before then if you do not accept it. The version you accepted is kept on your account.
13. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
